Most large buildings needs a fire hose reel.  They provide a controlled amount of water in critical locations to help people escape a building in an event of a fire.  They would normally be mounted on a wall or in a cabinet with appropriate signage to indicate their location(s).

It’s manually operated by opening the valve.  The reels range from 18 to 36 metres in length with 13mm, 19mm or 25mm diameter hose.

To comply with Australian Standards, all hoses require regular detailed checks by a fire professional.

We install sprinkler systems

Fire sprinkler systems can be a good invested to protect your business or home from fire.  There are different types of systems, but they all should be up to Australian Standards AS 2118.

These systems are typically activated by an automatic trigger such as an increase in temperature or a detection from a smoke sensor.  Over 96% of fires have been controlled in buildings which had fire sprinkler systems installed.

All sprinkler systems should meet basic requirements such as a reliable supply of water, working control valves, non-corroded pips and sprinkler heads.

When you need to deliver large quantities of water, you need a fire hydrant, and there are different types for different purposes.

Australian building code requires that any building over 500 square meters must contain a Fire Hydrant, and they should only be used by trained officers from the fire brigade.

They commonly consist of two pieces, one above ground and the other below ground, and like other Fire Protection Equipment, fire hydrants need regular maintenance and inspection.
